Now you can create closed-loop servo systems as easily as stepping motor systems; or if you wish, convert your existing stepping motor system into a servo motor system effortlessly on as many or few axiis as you choose. With the new CN0182 Servo Drive your servo motor thinks it's a stepper. This unique PID servo motor drive accepts TTL compatible step and direction signals just like a stepping motor drive and handles all encoder feedback from the motor locally at the drive, relieving you and your controller of this resource overhead. It makes your brush type servo motor behave exactly like a stepping motor; without a stepping motor's resonances and high-speed performance sacrifices. Every time the CN0182 gets a step pulse from the controller it causes the motor to increment one-fourth an encoder stripe. The same holding torque is available at a standstill. It even comes in the same small 4" x 4.5" x .8" package as our CN0140, 150, and 160 series stepping motor drives. Designing servo motor systems has never been this easy. |

The new CN0122 Dual Input Motor Drive is the ideal DC-DC motor control for small permanent magnet brush-type DC motors. This versatile unit can be used as a speed control, velocity control, or torque control; can be operated with potentiometers or by a plus or minus 10 volt signal. It handles up to 5 amp motors at 15-32 volts. It's a four quadrant speed control that tames fluctuating loads with ease; "pushing" as well as "pulling" to maintain a constant speed. It can be used to almost instantly change both direction and speed of travel. It even has separate inputs that permit pre-selecting a different speed for each direction of travel, making it a snap to design any type of oscillating mechanism. |
