10 Microstep Resolution Resonance Compensated 7 Amps, 60 Volts |
The CN0142 / CN0143 drives are for use with most size 23 and size 34 motors. They are compensated for mid-band instability, allowing reliable operation at full power at all speeds. Microstepping virtually eliminates low speed vibration while adding useful motor resolution.
A wide power supply voltage and phase current range allows you to easily tailor the CN0142 / CN0143 to your application, be it low speed / high torque or high speed / high power. A unique "fill" circuit smoothly transitions from microstepping at low speeds to full stepping at high speeds, extracting the maximum performance from your motor.
The chopper switching frequency of the CN0142 / CN0143 increases proportionally with the power supply voltage to reduce motor heating caused by ripple current induced losses at higher power supply voltages. All switching activity on the motor phase lines can be disabled to eliminate all noise and motor heating while stopped without losing position when switching activity is enabled again. An all n-channel MOSFET output stage and low current consumption circuit design minimizes drive heating due to motor phase currents as well as quiescent power consumption.
Robust circuit design and an epoxy encapsulated package contribute to a reliable and rugged step motor drive.
